
MY STORY
Ahoy there yoga people, welcome to my website!
My name is Stathoula. I’m a certified Hatha Yoga Instructor RYT200 (Yoga Alliance) based in Athens. Starting off with my Christian given name, Efstathia, which means 'balance', 'stability' and also 'validity' I was always trying to find a way to balance out my heart, my body and my mind, to connect with my true self and inner soul, but that was not always an easy thing to do and it never came smoothly. It is quite hard to remember when I first tapped into the world of yoga, but I am more than grateful that it found me when I needed it the most. I was blessed to learn from wise and inspiring individuals I met along my journey and I will eternally be grateful for all the wisdom they shared with me as they ignited in me the spark of teaching Yoga. My vision is to create a safe place for souls to meet and for bodies to remember their very initial substance, that of perfection! More of a sanctuary where everyone is welcomed, respected and cherished as an individual regardless of ethnicity, gender, body type or athletic skills.
Coming from an architectural background where stress was overwhelming & catastrophic at times, I found that this awkward habit of connecting with the breath in stillness was actually grounding me, while it was filling me with optimism & resilience for all the demanding situations I was dealing with. So it didn't take long for me to start practising meditation regularly, for about a decade now, and as such, it came naturally to me to pursue a specialization in mindfulness techniques & Yoga Nidra, but also Usui Reiki & massage techniques (holistic, lymphatic drainage, gua sha, fire cupping) as a way to help other people to feel grounded either through practice or meditation or even physical relaxation through massage.
Moreover, apart from Hatha Yoga, I also practise & teach yin yoga, power & vinyasa yoga. I customize each class in order to have new things to offer to my students, while I always encourage them to cultivate patience & attention to the voice of their inner self, either by pondering or by journaling. Having the opportunity to share my experience & knowledge with my students fills my heart with joy & contentment and my pay off is the serenity & the smiles I receive from them at the end of each class.
If you have found yourself asking for some quality time with yourself setting aside thoughts or obligations of everyday life, but you are all hesitant because you feel a bit rusty over the years of office work, motherhood or whatever life has thrown to you and you worry about not being flexible enough to start or continue your yoga journey, let me reassure you that yoga is for every-body & all ages regardless. As long as you have a body, you can practice yoga. I hope to practice with you soon.

You are welcome to deepen your practice with Hatha yoga or choose one of the dynamic flows. We do lots of pranayama - breathing techniques - we set intentions for each class, we move our bodies & we relax in savasana. Perfect for students looking for a meaningful mind-body experience on the mat.

YIN YOGA
Surrender to Your Mat
The Yin Yoga Flow class is a welcome and much-needed break from the stress and the rhythms of day to day life. we work in more static asanas allowing the muscles to stretch & expand, while the joints get stronger. You only need your mat, and the gravity will do all the work for you.. well along with some props from time to time! All you need to do is relax into a soothing sequence that will leave you feeling centered and refreshed.
MEDITATION & YOGA NIDRA
Ground Yourself
Modern life is all about being busy, stretching out time to complete the daily 'to do' list, bending and shifting ourselves to fit into expectations of others and those of ourselves. But what if we pause there for a moment? Can we possibly quiet the mind and prevent it from racing? Can we cultivate abundance & resilience to make it through the day? Guided relaxation techniques provide us with all the necessary tools to ground ourselves while we learn to appreciate the gift & the wisdom that every moment has to offer!
WHAT I DO
It is generally accepted & scientifically proven that practising yoga regularly, has so many benefits. Relieving stress & anxiety symptoms, easing panic attacks, increasing focus, building up resiliency, replenishes body energy, fighting autoimmune diseases, heightening flexibility, and the list goes on and on... you name it! One thing is certain, that we can all benefit from yoga, maybe in different ways but honestly, your body & mind will thank you from the very first class even!
